From research to draft: one continuous workflow

How to move from a verified research answer to a first draft without losing citations, context or momentum.

The classic legal workflow is fragmented: research in one tab, notes in another, drafting in a third, and citations checked at the end. Each handoff loses time and context. A better workflow keeps the thread continuous.

Step 1: Ask a focused question

Start with one legal issue, one jurisdiction and one procedural stage. Broad questions produce broad answers; narrow questions produce usable ones.

Step 2: Verify the authorities

Open each cited source and confirm it says what the AI claims. Add the good ones to a research log attached to the matter.

Step 3: Extract the usable propositions

Boil each authority down to a one-sentence proposition. These propositions become the paragraphs of your draft.

Step 4: Draft from the propositions, not from the chat

Use the propositions as an outline. Instruct the drafting tool to build a submission around them, citing the verified sources. The result is closer to a finished draft than a generic template.

Step 5: Review as a single document

Edit the draft in one place, inserting new authorities as they arrive. The research log stays attached, so the next lawyer to pick up the file can see what was checked.

Zealia connects research, analysis and drafting inside one matter. Authorities found in research flow into the case analysis, and the drafting tool can read both. The result is less copying, fewer lost citations, and a file that stays coherent as the team grows.
